Why is Limewire not connecting anymore? How can i get Frostwire to connect?
Hi. Suddenly,LW just says "connecting" but never does. Has it gone bust? And before this,i gave FW a try,but again,it stated it was connecting but never did. So,what gives? What can i do? Like i said,Lime Pro started doing this just a few days ago. There shouldn't be a conflict between the two as when i installed Frost a month ago,Lime still worked. If it helps,i have XP Pro SP 3. Any help written in laywoman terms would be nice. Thanks.

Limewire was shut down by court order because it was primarily used for illegal activity, like music downloading. Frostwire uses the same network, so it's been affected as well. You may be forced to actually buy your music instead of stealing it. And if you were a heavy Limewire user, you better hope they don't turn over their logs to the court in exchange for leniency. The minimum fine is $750.00 per song illegally

be careful the so called artists got the government to make both sites tell who is using it to download stuff so the government can go after them and fine them

Limewire was busted by the Feds. Downloading copyright music "free" is illegal. From what CNN is reporting, the current administration is pushing harder to close down these sites. Users are being charged and web site owners are being charged during the round up. So you might want to think twice before continuing.

Limewire will close for good on everything at the end of this year.
You should just uninstall Limewire. Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs
Frostwire is like a half sister of Limewire. Maybe your ISP is blocking FW so contact your ISP on it.
